Synergi are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Biased) to join a large Food manufacturing company in Camelford. The successful Maintenance Engineer would join on a Monday to Fridays shift pattern working an average of 40 hours a week. Job Description as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and give feedback to production regarding expected downtime and planned corrective action
  • working in a variety of departments such as Water Treatment Plant, Energy centre, site services and facilities functions
  • Follow the company Health & Safety guidelines
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance and other equipment servicing as directed by the engineering manager
  • Management of Contractors
  • Working closely with both H&S and senior management to make improvements and on the Health & Safety standards

 

Roles & Responsibilities as an Mechanical maintenance engineer:

  • Conducting Electrical Maintenance on High Speed production Machinery such as Single & Three phase wiring, fault finding, working on control panels, invertors, motor drives and some PLC controlled equipment
  • Providing Mechanical breakdown and planned maintenance
  • Focus on the key performance indicators (KPIs) identified by the Engineering Manager, and work towards achieving and surpassing agreed targets
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation is up to date and complete
  • Foster a constructive relationship with all departments and ensure lines of communication are open and are able to improve the site efficiency and safety

 

Requirements as a Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

  • Apprenticeship/HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Extensive experience of maintaining industrial manufacturing plants.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification would be preferred
  • Experience of managing contractor.

 

Salary: £40,000

Shifts: Monday - Friday Days
