Job description: Senior Process Engineer

There is an opportunity for an experienced Graduate Process Engineer to join a large UK business, initially to assist in the design and commissioning of the Ingredients Processing Centre, but to eventually transition to the senior Process Engineering role at site.

The job covers a wide range of unit operations, from vegetable hydration, sterilisation, integrated heat exchange systems, cleaning-in-place, etc and extends to data interface to modern PLC systems. This is a key role within the factory team and is at the core of the change management program. It will form a good learning experience for the candidate, as design & build projects of this scale do not occur frequently in the UK.             


Roles and responsibilities: Graduate Process Engineer

  • Understanding of process systems (plant, instrumentation, SCADA, data handling)  
  • Hands-on experience in an operational environment
  • Proven record of managing process operations, troubleshooting and systemised improvement methods
  • Responsible for the safe operation of key process operations, ensuring the integrity of the equipment controlling temperature/pressure, correct safety interlocks and operating procedures keep the equipment within the limits of safe operation
  • High level of data handling capability, particularly in relation to plant SCADA, trending systems and reporting

Salary - £27,000
